Maybe your summer didn't go as planned...so what?

As summer starts winding down and you are looking at your fall schedule, it's easy to slip into the mindset of, "I should have done more."

Maybe you thought you'd travel more.

Spend more time with family.

Finally start working out.

Read all those books.

Instead, life happened.

There were unexpected expenses, busy schedules, difficult seasons, health concerns, or simply not enough time.

Before you rush into fall thinking you "wasted" your summer, pause for a moment. Remember this: it's not over yet.

Your summer isn't measured by how adventurous, or Instagram worthy photos that were taken.

You made it through another season. You kept going. And that counts.

As fall does approach, you don't need to carry disappointment with you. You don't need a weeklong vacation or a perfectly planned adventure. There are still warm evenings to enjoy. Still ice cream to eat or a new coffee shop to visit. Memories can be made at any time.

So take a minute and think of one thing you'd like to do before summer ends. Give yourself something to look forward to, no matter how small.
